2028 Flying Stars Chart: The Full Year Map

Flying stars is feng shui's annual layer. The bagua map describes your home's fixed areas; the flying stars describe which energies visit each compass sector this year. Nine stars, nine sectors, one chart — and this page is the whole chart for 2028.

The headline of 2028 is a good one: the wealth star sits in the center of the home, where it touches every room. But the year also carries a double warning in the Southwest, where the heaviest star of all shares a sector with Tai Sui, the Grand Duke of the year. So 2028 rewards a balanced approach — use the good sectors actively, and leave the difficult ones strictly alone.

The complete 2028 chart

The sectors to actively use this year are the Center, Northwest, West, North, and East. The ones to keep calm are the Southeast, South, Northeast, and Southwest.

Find your nine sectors in five minutes

Stand in the center of your home with your phone's compass app open. The direction each room falls in is its sector. A bedroom in the north part of your home sits in the North sector, under this year's 4 Green. That is the whole method — no compass school required. Two fine points. First, use the center of your entire home, not one room, and in an apartment use your own unit's center, not the building's. Second, do not overthink irregular floor plans — assign each room to whichever sector covers most of it. If your living-dining-kitchen is one open space spanning two or three sectors, divide it the same way and treat each zone by its own star.

The sectors to enhance

Center — 8 White (Earth). The wealth star, sitting at the heart of the home. This is the year's biggest opportunity, because the center touches every room: keep it open, warm, well-lit, and lived-in. Earth tones, warm light, and a healthy plant suit it. The full guide is Center 8 White 2028.

The sectors to keep calm

Southwest — 5 Yellow (Earth) + Tai Sui. The year's double warning. The 5 Yellow is the heaviest star there is, and in 2028 it shares the Southwest with Tai Sui, the Grand Duke. Keep Southwest rooms quiet, tidy, and well-maintained, use a metal cure to drain the star's Earth energy, and do not renovate, drill, or dig there under any circumstances. The no-go zones (the rule to actually follow)

If you remember one thing from this page, make it this. All year, do not renovate, drill, dig, or knock down walls in these three sectors:

• Southwest — Five Yellow + Tai Sui
• South — San Sha (Three Killings)
• Northeast — Year Breaker （岁破）

Daily coming-and-going, cleaning, and normal use are not "disturbance." The rule is about construction-level disruption. If a repair is genuinely urgent, do it quietly and quickly, and do not turn it into a project.

How 2028 differs from 2027

The practical consequence: if your 2027 setup enhanced the Southeast and kept the North quiet, your 2028 setup does almost the opposite — enhance the Center, and keep the Southwest quiet.

1. Map your nine sectors with the compass method above.
2. Clear and brighten the Center first — the wealth star touches everything.
3. Place a metal cure in the Southwest and keep it quiet all year.
4. Check the three no-go zones: no renovation plans in any of them. If a contractor is booked, reschedule.
5. Put your best desk in the North and your celebrations in the Northwest.
