2028 Cures and Setup Checklist

Everything to do before Lichun — 4 February 2028 — on one page. Map your sectors, calm the four difficult ones, enhance the five good ones, and then stop thinking about it until the monthly check-in.

This checklist assumes you have read the 2028 flying stars map. If you have not, start there — this page is the doing, that page is the understanding. The whole setup takes about an hour, and most of it is tidying you probably need to do anyway.

Map your nine sectors first — overlay the bagua from the front door side, then work through this checklist sector by sector.

Step 1: Map your nine sectors (15 minutes)

  1. Stand in the center of your entire home with your phone's compass app open.
  2. Note which direction each room falls in. A room belongs to whichever sector covers most of it.
  3. In an apartment, use your own unit's center, not the building's.
  4. Write it down: Center = ?, Northwest = ?, West = ?, North = ?, East = ?, Southeast = ?, South = ?, Northeast = ?, Southwest = ?. Keep this list — every step below refers to it.
  5. Check the 2028 chart against your list: Center 8 White, Northwest 9 Purple, West 1 White, North 4 Green, East 6 White, Southeast 7 Red, South 3 Jade + San Sha, Northeast 2 Black + Year Breaker, Southwest 5 Yellow + Tai Sui.

Step 2: The no-go zones — check before you spend anything

Before buying a single cure, check for renovation plans in the three no-go zones:

If a contractor is booked for any of these sectors, reschedule now — January is the cheap time to change a plan, and mid-project is the expensive time. If a repair is genuinely urgent, plan it as a quiet, quick fix, not a project. This step alone prevents most 2028 feng shui regrets.

Step 3: Place the cures (20 minutes)

Two sectors need a metal cure, and both use the same logic: Metal drains Earth in the five-element cycle, which calms the Earth stars sitting there.

One cure per sector, maintained, beats three forgotten ones. Put the cures where you will see them during the monthly check-in, so "clean the cure" actually happens.

Step 4: Enhance the five good sectors (20 minutes)

Step 5: The whole-house sweep (10 minutes)

The monthly check-in (10 minutes, first weekend of the month)

That is the whole year. An hour before Lichun, ten minutes a month, and the 2028 chart works quietly in the background while you get on with the actual work — the studying, the earning, the celebrating — that the stars are only ever meant to support.

What not to buy

Nothing on this checklist requires an expensive object. A metal wind chime or a bowl, salt, and coins; a brighter bulb; a plant you will actually water. If a seller tells you a sector needs a costly ritual item, that is sales, not feng shui. The most expensive item on this page is your hour — spend it tidying, and the year is set.

Frequently asked questions

When should I do the 2028 setup?

Before Lichun, 4 February 2028. The flying stars change at Lichun, so a January setup means the layout works from day one of the year.

Which sectors need a bought cure in 2028?

Two: the Southwest (5 Yellow + Tai Sui) and the Northeast (2 Black + Year Breaker) each need one metal cure. The South and Southeast are calmed by behavior, light, and housekeeping, not purchases.

What are the no-go zones in 2028?

The Southwest (5 Yellow + Tai Sui), the South (San Sha), and the Northeast (Year Breaker). No renovation, drilling, digging, or demolition in any of them all year.

How often should I check the setup?

Once a month, ten minutes: cures clean, difficult sectors calm, good sectors still used for their jobs. Fix one thing each month and the layout holds all year.
